Meet The Doctor

What can a patient expect when they have you as a doctor?

Patient and family centered care, evidence based medicine.

What is the most important factor in a doctor-patient relationship and why?

Mutual trust, because physicians provide medical care to patients and that is something which patients really must rely on physicians to do in a competent manner without any mechanisim for a patient to evaluate whether that is delivered correctly. Doctors must rely on our patients to provide us with honest answers to questions which are sometimes uncomfortable to answer. The whole relationship relies not only on trust but on good communication.

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy when you're not working?

Spending time with my family, singing and playing music with my family, golfing.

What about your line of work do you find the most rewarding and why?

I only practice hospital medicine so I am not taking on new patients in a clinical setting.
