Meet The Doctor

What can a patient expect when they have you as a doctor?

A complete medical home for the care of children, from infancy through adolescence in a compassionate, patient centered environment with friendly, efficient staff, experienced doctors, who are themselves mothers, and in a conveniently located, safe facility. Doctors are available 24/7 by phone. Children who need hospital admission are cared for by excellent pediatric hospitalists but the newborns are evaluated and cared for by Dr. Schulz and Dr. Holtzman. Dr. Schulz has over 30 years of pediatric experience and Dr. Holtzman has over 20 years experience. All types of pediatric problems are addressed by our pediatricians and most problems can be adequately cared for by our doctors. In addition to handling the usual medical pediatric conditions, our doctors evaluate and co-manage autistic disorders (in conjunction with appropriate psychological staff and therapists) as well as care for children with ADHD.

What is the most important factor in a doctor-patient relationship and why?

The respectful partnership that builds up over time. This enables the patient to have mastery over the medical decisions that affect him/her.

What hobbies or activities do you enjoy when you're not working?

Cooking, playing violin, reading mysteries, watching "Svengoolie" with my best dog, Snickerdoodle, by my side.

What about your line of work do you find the most rewarding and why?

I like the kids. They're funny. I like to hear what they think.
