Meet The Doctor
What can a patient expect when they have you as a doctor?
I will strive to provide the care you need as an individual and not treat you as a "number". I will be honest with you and expect my patients to do the same.
What is the most important factor in a doctor patient relationship and why?
Trust is the cornerstone of a doctor-patient relationship. I need to know that I can trust you to follow my instructions and you need to trust me to provide the best of care for you or your family member.
What hobbies or activities do you enjoy when you're not working?
I used to really enjoy running but as the years have gone by, my knees don't like to do that any longer. I still love to walk and do so every morning all the way to Starbucks. I also enjoy going to the movies and spending time with my children and grandson.
What about your line of work do you find the most rewarding and why?
When I can see a patient who is virtually crippled by diabetes or some other debilitating disease, get them started on a treatment regiment and have them come back in 3 months to follow-up and have them report that they feel so much better, this is very rewarding to me. To know that the years I went to school to become a family practice physician are making a difference to someone in need, this is the reason I do what I do. I love my job.
